From 2005 to 2009, there were a series of breaches in Irans promises and the agreements with IAEA concerning the uranium enrichment activities, accompanied by sweeping U.S sanctions against the country, Irans rocket-test launches, including such of a of a long-range missile capable of reaching Israel, and a UN Security Council resolution on Irans uranium enrichment program (Aljazeera, 2012).
